Mihail Pogrebinsky Director of the Center
He was born in 1946 in Kiev and is a non-party politician. Mr. Pogrebinsky graduated from the department of physics of Kyiv State University. He is a political scientist and political technologist. The sphere of professional interests: analysis of the current political situation, formation of civil society institutions, Russian-Ukrainian relations, election campaigns.
At different times he was a deputy, member of Kiev city executive committee, assistant to the deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. He also worked at the Presidential Administration. Since 1989 he has been taking part in election campaigns as a manager and adviser. A member of the Council of Experts on Internal Policy under the President, adviser to the Prime Minister (1998-2000), adviser to the Head of Presidential Administration (2002). Since 1993 he has been director of Kiev Center of Political Studies and Conflictology.

Aleksey Tolpygo Expert
He was born in 1947 in Kiev. In 1968 he graduated from the department of mechanics and mathematics of Moscow State University and obtained a degree in algebra. Candidate of physical and mathematical sciences (1974). Thesis "Some Problems of Non-Abelian Homological Algebra". From 1971 to 1994 he taught mathematics, first at Obninsk branch of Moscow Engineering Physics Institute, then at Kyiv Polytechnic Institute: assistant, senior instructor, assistant professor. He wrote a few books and a number of articles on mathematics, and in recent years, on political studies. He also wrote a book on history of the Great French Revolution (not published).

Mihail Beletsky Expert
He was born in Kiev in 1935. In 1951 he entered the department of mechanics and mathematics of Moscow State University; in 1956 when he was a 5th year student he was sent down on political grounds. In 1957-1962 he worked in Yerevan at the Scientific and Research Institute of Mathematical Machines and at the Computing Center of the Academy of Sciences of Armenia. In 1959 he graduated from Yerevan University (the department of physics and mathematics). In 1962-1965 he was a post graduate student at Steklov Mathematical Institute (Moscow). Candidate of physical and mathematical sciences, specialization - mathematical logic and theory of algorithms (1968). Research officer at the Institute of Cybernetics of the Academy of Sciences of the Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic (1965-68), instructor at Kyiv State University (1968-1973). Having left the last post he developed automatic control systems in much more modest institutions. Since 1992 he has been a staff member of the CSPSC. The sphere of interests - ethnic and confessional problems.

In 1995 he graduated from T.Shevchenko Kyiv University and got a degree in political studies. Co-author of the following monographs "Ethics and Politics", "Parliamentary Elections 98" and "European Political Parties: Strategy and Tactics in the Period between the Elections". He was born in 1981. In 1998 he left physics and mathematics gymnasium # 17 in Vinnitsa. Currently Natalia Onipko is elaborating leadership programs within the framework of the project "Ukrainian School of Leaders - Lab of Democracy" for the Institute for Civic Leadership (ICL) and the outreach program (public information and media relations) for the Kyiv Center of Political Studies and Conflictology.
